Embroidery kit - Honeysuckle pincushion
A new treasure has been found at Lilla Hyttnäs. One day when Birgitta the housekeeper took off the embroidered cover on the commode cushion, the cushion on the commode in the Antiques Room, she discovered another embroidered cover beneath. It was in wool with beautifully embroidered honeysuckle blossom in red and pink with a wreath in golden yellow. The honeysuckle had been lying there all these years without anyone having the faintest idea. You can see the cushion on Carl’s painting The Studio, one half from 1894, in his most famous book of illustrations, A Home, published 1899. Contents: bluefabric, 100% pure wool, pattern, woollen thread, needle and tapes in woollen fabric. Cloth for back of cover. Stitches required: Stem stitch and satin stitch.
