In 1899, Carl Larsson's book A Home came out. Through it we became acquainted with the Larsson family's world at Lilla Hyttnäs in Sundborn and came to love the environments and the beautiful rooms.
In A cookbook, it is now time to step into the kitchen with Karin among pots and pans. Karin was a skinny cook when she met Carl, but over the years she came to be called a real "gourmet", cooked an entire menu for Prince Eugén and experimented with new recipes in everyday life and came up with nice little dishes.

the story of Carl and Karin Larsson's food life. From parties, wine and pranks to everyday simple food that Karin with her eye for beauty turned into an everyday party. Karin's fun food inventions have their place as well as dishes and groceries from the French village of Grez-sur-Loing where Carl and Karin met
and lived a few years. More food inspiration gives their trips to other countries and Sundborn in Dalarna where they lived.
The family's correspondence, which is the basis of the book, offers interesting cultural history about food and groceries, thoughts and events in small and large. The book's many photos and Carl's paintings open the door to Sundborn's kitchen and dining room and inspire cooking in Carl's and Karin's footsteps.
The book's original recipe has inspired the chef and food creator Görgen Tidén to give some of them a new culinary height for the taste buds of our time.
